Kira Awards finalists announced

KIRA finalists logoTwenty-one finalists have been announced for the Ninth Annual Kira Awards set for May 3. Earlier this week, Enterprise Fredericton's Kira Awards selection committee reviewed the nominees and selected the finalists. The awards selection committee is separate from the organizing committee and is comprised of representatives from the public and private sectors.

The selection committee picked three finalists to represent seven categories of business: export product, employment growth; industry person of the year; technological advancement/innovation - private sector; technological advancement/innovation - public sector; export service; and most promising startup.

This year, the finalists in the private and public technological advancement categories are automatically entered as finalists in the Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA). The finalists are:

Export Product:
- Evention Healthcare Inc., Fredericton.
- TSiAuto Solutions, Bathurst.
- Virtual Expert Clinics, Fredericton.

Employment Growth:
- Ambir, Saint John
- TSiAuto Solutions, Bathurst
- Whitehill Technologies Inc.,

Moncton Industry Person of the Year:
- Steve Burns, Bulletproof Solutions
- Krisan Palmer, Atlantic Health Sciences Corp.
- Maj. Tim Workman, CFB Gagetown

Technological Advancement/Innovation - Private Sector:
- AnyWare Group, Saint John
- Connetik Technologies Inc., Saint John
- Evention Healthcare Inc., Fredericton

Technological Advancement/ Innovation - Public Sector:
- New Brunswick Department of Transportation
- New Brunswick Department of Family and Community Services
