We Care~Trevor Titus Fundraiser

The "We Care~Trevor Titus Fundraiser" is an initiative to support our friend and colleague, Trevor Titus, in his battle against cancer. Trevor finds himself almost 4 years into his battle with a serious form of cancer and he is now at a stage where he is considering treatment in Boston that could provide hope with respect to extending his life.

A Saint John native, Trevor is 42 years old and a graduate of both UNB in Saint John and TUNS in Halifax. After having left the region for several years, Trevor returned back home 4 years ago to join Ambir and to be closer to family and friends in New Brunswick. All of us involved with this initiative have a deep respect for Trevor, both as an IT professional, and as a human being. Trevor is a warm and caring person who always puts others' needs first, no matter what the situation and always without complaint. During the course of these past four years, as Trevor has battled this cancer, he has gone out of his way to ensure that his challenge was no one's but his own. Trevor has never wanted to burden others and in fact, in spite of what he has been dealing with, he always goes out of his way to do what he can to help others. Such a display of selflessness is uncommon in society today and we find Trevor's approach to life, a tremendous source of inspiration, and an example of how to live one's life.

Trevor has helped so many but now it is our turn to help him and make sure he knows that he is not alone in his fight. For someone like Trevor, it is difficult to accept help from others, but true to form he is being gracious in allowing us to do just that out of our respect, appreciation and love for him.

The "We Care~Trevor Titus Fundraiser" committee have organized a major benefit event that will be held in Saint John on March 19th, 2011. This will be an evening of great food and entertainment (Dave Carroll and Sons of Maxwell) and we will also hold both a live auction and a silent auction during the evening. There have been many very generous donations of auction prizes and we are grateful to live in a community that cares so much about others. Thank you to all of you!

All of the profits of this fundraiser will go directly to Trevor and his family to offset the cost of his travel, treatments, etc. related to this journey he finds himself on. Now we need everyone to come and attend this great evening ... bring all your friends and neighbours and come with open hearts and open wallets all in support of our friend Trevor.
